Corner Pride is a MUST read! Growing up in the coal mountain region of Pennsylvania and later near Olmstead AFB, visits to Philly always left me with the feeling that I had entered a new world and I often wondered, “Why would they call this the City of Brotherly Love?” Shea not only brought his characters to life, you felt the loyalty that existed amongst friends. He brought out the personality of an historical city with a very dark side and the desperation behind protecting one’s turf. So well written you experience what life and survival were like in Philly, simply by turning the pages. I've re-read this book often; so often I've broken the spine ~ Kudos Shea, keep writing
