Corner Pride $15.00

Charles Shea LeMone has done it again, creating another excellent story. Why his earlier book, A Dance in the Street, hasnít become a movie yet is still a mystery to me!

His latest novel, Corner Pride, is well told and filled with emotion, action, and passion. This book took me through the rough experience of growing up in an American ghetto in 1957. By following two characters, a young man with plans to become a professional boxer and a boy who fantasizes about being a writer, we are able to engage in two fascinating parallel stories.

Seeing the world from these charactersí eyes and minds, I could share their dreams as well as mourn their losses. Best of all, spending time with these people and seeing this tale unfold left me with lessons about people, pride and the power of careful thought. Much can be gleaned from this tale for the reader willing to embark on this moving, memorable journey.
