Cherokee conjurors wield power for both good and evil. In this fascinating mystery story, you’ll learn some of the secrets of Cherokee conjurors. Plus, you’ll learn about Cherokee history and legends—and how they connect to Egyptian hieroglyphs, ancient ruins in Guatemala, and even the practice of vodoun.
Based on meticulous research, the story blends fact, fiction and fantasy into a delightfully intelligent and entertaining book.
The story follows two students at a small university in the Cherokee Nation and their encounters with Cherokee legend, magic and history. It also introduces one of the most intriguing characters in recent fiction—a Cherokee Little Person on his final quest to find the lost spirits of the Cherokees known as the Immortals.
The author, a previous resident of the Cherokee Nation, Tahlequah, Oklahoma, now teaches at an East Coast university. She travels frequently in Indian Country.
